The BIBS brainchild, and very unique street comp kicked off tonight at Rhodes skatepark. Eight teams of three people were drawn at random, came
ras were given out, and we recieved our marching orders. Throughout the next week, Boise’s local street shredders will be attacking the list of spots, clicking photos on the disposable cameras that were handed out and helping a fellow bike rider in need in the process. Once the photos are all developed, in about two weeks or so, they will be posted on BIBSweb, as well as right here at 20″ Rev. People will have a week or so to vote, and the winners will be announced. For now, enjoy some pictures I took tonight at the kickoff jam.
There are also myriad ways to donate to the Mike Aitken fund, including through BIBS or online at 5050 bmx or mikeaitken.com. From what I understand, donations to help our friend Mike and his family get him back to shredding have been pouring in from around the world. It’s a testament to the community we have as bmxers.
Get well soon, Mike!
